I think they use a chart or a spreadsheet to figure it out. The only problem is that now you're "on file" with the BGG admins thus, your next offenses will lead to more and more time on the sidelines. OTOH, your comment was hysterical (I just thumbed it) and might very well be worth a single-day ban. He gets to be a BGG warrior-god you get banned.
